Tuolumne County’s economic vitality has been on the decline for many years because it was thwarted by several systemic issues, like our population and median income decline, both slow to reverse direction.
Reasonable sustainable growth is absolutely essential for us to create opportunities for our people and businesses to thrive at every level.
The current Board is steadily changing the pervasive root causes of these difficulties and putting Tuolumne County on a path to prosperity.
We must continue this path for all citizens and secure sustainable affordable housing. We are progressing despite multiple States of Emergency over 5 years including Rim Fire, Drought, Tree Mortality and 2017 Storm Damage.
Through a concentrated effort, we have secured over $200 Million in grants. Our forests are unhealthy, and our societal neglect is the root cause of the massive Tree Mortality.
We are currently on a path to engage some serious vegetation management and ecological restoration projects to improve the forest’s landscape, reduce fire risk, and increase water yield.
I am a man of action that will “Get it done.” Therefore, I request your vote, so I can continue advocating at the local, State and Federal levels for you and future generations.
